In the late evening of a small estate of Toa Payoh, from as far as about three blocks always, sound of loud traditional drums and clashes of cymbals were lifted into the quiet warm air around the neighbourhood. Old folks from almost all over the northern distract Toa Payoh were gather round this traditional chinese opera stage, just to entertain themselves with stories or just bring back memories of old times. Chinese Traditional stage play like this are now a days lost in time.

Usually before every play is shown during in the evening, in the late afternoon, the chief of the tribe which they called him in the chinese opera will pray several times to their believed god. This process will last no more then half a day, the chief when pray, he’ll just ask the god what show do they want to watch and when finally decided they will have the stage costumes and actors prepare for the night of colourful and entertaining for the public. And usually the people in this opera, they are always moving as a family around Singapore as they have being doing this for number of years, but yet this colourful seems to be cast away from the new generation.
